The Islands in the Bay – Chapter (119) Uniform Love

Paramedic Lee Houseman and accountant Adrian Robinson were near neighbours in Saxvirdan, in the same street in fact, just at opposite ends of it and ever since they first met on the day when a mutual friend introduced them to each other at a dinner party.

The friend was her fellow paramedic Frazer Richmond who was also a part time firefighter with Adrian.

During the course of the evening in between the course’s they talked about their interests, and they found common ground, and following that night there had been a definite “will they” or “wont they” vibe emanating from them, and there was a tangible sexual tension evident.

All though in truth Lee wouldn’t have been in any doubt but for her shyness and inexperience with the opposite sex, Adrian on the other hand had multiple options he just hadn’t committed.

Apart from their living in the same street, in the same village, they also had a keen interest in militaria and belonged to a club that exhibited military vehicles and uniforms at events all over Downshire and beyond, but the only time they exhibited on the island was at the Bellevue Cottage Hospital summer Fête.

Saxvirdan, is a small hamlet north of St Pierre, made up of former labourer’s cottages close to the remains of the old Roman fort site, so all of the house’s contain to some extent, materials acquired from the old Roman Buildings, and it was around ten o’clock on Saturday morning when Adrian knocked on the door of Lee’s cottage, dressed in a 1940’s Downshire Light Infantry Warrant Officers Uniform, and it wasn’t the first time he’d worn that particular Uniform, although he owned others.

When the door opened Lee was dressed in something he had never seen before, a WRAF Sergeants No 1 Dress Uniform.

“Wow where did you get that?” he asked “You look amazing”

“It was my grandma’s Mum found it when she cleared her cottage after she died” Lee said “Come inside, we’ve got time for tea”

“That’s a fabulous fit” he said as they entered her parlour.

“That’s all thanks to Lily Nunthorpe in St Pierre”

Lily owned a vintage clothes shop, “Then for Now” and specialised in repairing and rejuvenating old garments.

“She also managed to source the bits I was missing”

“Well it looks good on you” he said as she perched on the sofa

“Everything is 100% genuine” Lee said

“Everything?” he asked with raised eyebrows

“Everything” she replied and blushed

“Do you mind if I check for myself?” Adrian asked

“Ok” she replied and blushed deeper

He knelt on the floor and put his hand on her knee and said

“It feels authentic”

“Good” she replied, and her voice cracked

“But are they stockings? Or are they tights?”

“You’d better find out” she said falteringly

So his hand proceeded from her trembling knee along her taught thigh, pushing her skirt and under slip along with it.

Nothing was said as his hand travelled ever upward until his fingertips reached her suspender fastener and then as they reached her naked flesh she gasped, and his eyes never left her face.

But as his hand progress inside the antique silk his lips began kissing her thigh and she gasped again.

After he had feasted on her delights and made love to her on the sofa it was time for them to be going.

“I need to freshen up” she panted and kissed him, and he watched leave as he redressed himself.

When she returned, she looked as immaculate as she did when he first arrived, but as she tried to negotiate the hallway she stumbled.

“Are you ok?” he asked

“Yes, it’s just my legs are a bit wobbly” she giggled

“You’d better take my arm then” he suggested

“But if people see us arm in arm, they’ll think we are an item” She pointed out

“I don't mind that” Adrian retorted

“But are we?”

“Are we what?”

“An item” she said

“Well after you lured me inside with the promise of a cup of tea and then seduce me, I would jolly well hope we are an item” he said.

“Really?” she said and then added

“Hang on a minute though, you seduced me, and I never got to drink my tea”

“Would you rather have had the tea?” he asked

“No fear” she replied and squeezed his arm
